Jumpers/Wiring

Regarding Jumpers, Pi Hat VMC has no jumper configurations needed, in contrary to other members of the Pi Hat family. The only jumper present is the bootloader jumper.

The Pinout of the Pi Hat VMC is presented below.


Important Considerations

On table below, Driver High outputs the voltage supplied to the Pi Hat by Pin 3 of the image above. In turn Driver Low outputs the GND of this power supply, connected through Pin 2 of the image above.

This pin outputs the same voltage level (supplied by pin 3) used by Driver High Pins when they are active.

Driver High Out

When activated, these pins output the same voltage supplied to pin 3 or the MDB voltage if the device is powered by MDB.

Driver Low Out

When activated, these pin are pulled to GND level (same as pin 2).

GND to Driver Low

This pin outputs the same GND level used by Driver Low Pins when they are active.

MDB VMC

VMC MDB Connector, used both for controlling MDB Peripherals and Powering the device if MDB power is supplied somewhere else.

Power Supply GND

Power Supply VCC

24V @1A , this voltage will be used by the Output Pins and also to supply Power to the MDB line. If there is an external MDB Power supply being used, this pin can be left open.
