Master (VMC) Modes
Our MDB devices provide two different access methods to the Master mode, which usually provides VMC functionality.
A "generic" Master interface is available through the "M" (Master) command group.
A specific, high level interface for Master Cashless Devices is available using the "D" commands.
The difference between setting the Generic master and the Cashless Master is that when configured as Cashless Master, the interface will continuously poll the bus automatically, whereas in Generic Master it is necessary to have something (VMC software or command line) issuing the polls on the bus.
Both interfaces can be used in parallel and independently, but obviously, sending Master commands to the cashless interface opened with the D interface will disrupt functionalities.
Some configurations are volatile and need to be set each time the MDB-USB boots
Before starting making vending cycles, consider configure your device first. For that, check the API-Configuration Section.
