MDB Development Kit
The MDB Development Kit is a ready to use MDB bundle which contains an MDB Pi Hat Plus, a Raspberry Pi and a Pi Case. This makes it ideal to start developing your own MDB application or install one of Qibixx' applications, as it includes a license to use them freely.
It is assumed that the acquirer of the MDB Development Kit is familiar with Unix based systems and concepts like SSH and the MDB Specification.

Summary/Features
- MDB Pi Hat acts as the MDB Interface (with VMC, Peripheral or Sniffing functionalities)
- Raspbian Lite OS installed for a lighter load on the raspberry
- OS configured for Pi Hat
- Flexa License included, which allows installation of publicly available applications from Qiba/Qibixx
- Capable of being powered from MDB
- Network (Wired or Wireless) capable
Use Cases
Qiba/Qibixx' applications can also be wired to the remaining MDB Systems like depicted below.
The MDB Pi Hat on the MDB Development Kit is shipped with the Bridge Jumpers on Pi Hat disconnected, which means that the correct port (VMC or Peripheral) must be used. Please find more information about Pi Hat connectors and jumpers in this page: Connectors & Jumpers
Implement custom peripherals (e.g. Cashless Payment devices)
With the wiring depicted below, the Development Kit can be used to implement any Peripheral device comprised in the MDB Specfication, or even act as a Telemetry device thanks to the MDB Pi Hat Sniffing capability. This enables the development of applications that range from custom cashless devices, custom telemetry devices, to modernize traditional cash (bills or coins) payments, and anything allowed by the MDB Specification.

Implement an MDB Vending Machine Controller (VMC)
Using this configuration, the development Kit can be used to implement a Vending Machine Controller that can interact with the Payment peripherals described in the MDB Specification thanks to the MDB Pi Hat.
The vending machine mechanical elements (Sensors, Motors, etc) cannot be controlled with the MDB Pi Hat nor the 40 pin header on the Raspberry Pi. The acquirer of the MDB Development Kit must ensure that these elements can be controlled with the available Raspberry Interfaces (USB, Network).

Implement an integration or Telemetry device
The following configuration can be used to integrate existing payment devices with otherwise incompatible Vending Machines (e.g. the machine only accepts coins and it is possible to integrate cashless, correct currency codes and scaling factors, etc) or even design a telemetry device to report sales to an existing server on the web.
In this configuration, the Development Kit acts as a VMC to the payment peripherals, but as a Peripheral to the VMC, acting as a "Man in the middle" and forwarding or translating messages between them.
