MDB USB Ultra ISO & Standalone Version
For the current series of MDB Ultra devices, the devices have a fixed direct connection between the MDB Bus power supply (minus) and the PC/controller side (USB ground).
The MDB Ultra 5V power output (generated from the 24V MDB supply) is available on connector X4, for example, to power a Raspberry.
The MDB Ultra controller is usually powered by the USB connection from the PC.
To protect the electronics and avoid startup problems on the USB, there is NO internal power feed from the MDB to 5V regulator to the USB or MDB Ultra controller.
For standalone use of the ISO version, the 5V output of the MDB-5V power regulator can be wired to the MDB Ultra controller externally by means of a wire bridge between connector X4 and either the USB port or one of the IO Ports.
